Permastore moves into the Finnish Biogas Market

Finnish based Biogas process provider, Watrec Ltd has successfully completed a state of the art Biogas facility, 2 months ahead of schedule! The plant is primarily designed to produce electricity and heat from biogas generated from municipal and agricultural waste. The Biogas plant located in Vampula, Finland uses 4 PERMASTORE^® tanks which utilise Permastore’s unique high grade glass finishes. These have been specially developed to bring a complete technical solution and economical value to our customers and end users. Permastore know that the digester tanks are the heart of any biogas plant and it is essential that both the supply and erection of the tanks run smoothly. Permastore’s purpose built manufacturing facility, the unique modular bolted design and jacking system contribute considerably to rapid supply, shipping and erection times. All of which offer considerable flexibility to a main contractor over more conventional solutions such as welded and concrete tanks. Permastore’s extensive experience in the anaerobic digestion market of over 35 years was vital in the client’s consideration. Permastore was chosen as the principal tank manufacturer for this project, based on the high quality of supply and defect free product which was manufactured to recognised standard - ISO 28765:2008. Permastore consider manufacturing to the International Standard ISO 28765:2008 Vitreous and porcelain enamels -- Design of bolted steel tanks for the storage or treatment of water or municipal or industrial effluents and sludges crucial. Permastore feel it is important that both end users and contractors are aware of this! To manufacture to this standard, ensures that all sheets that are supplied are 100% defect free and do not allow for factory touch-ups! A defect free sheet is the only way to ensure the tank will perform effectively for its intended design life – an end user cannot receive better product security than this! The PERMASTORE^® tanks are an integral part of the plant which will have an annual capacity of approximately 60,000 tonnes, with an opportunity to increase the capacity to 80,000 tonnes in the second year of operation.
